For supported vehicles, transmission control unit calibration can complement engine tuning and improve how the gearbox responds. JBJ provides mobile gearbox and TCU remapping across Chester, Wrexham and surrounding areas.
What TCU tuning is
A TCU controls shift behaviour in many modern automatic and dual-clutch transmissions. Where supported, calibration can alter permitted torque handling, shift response and other software-controlled behaviour.
Vehicle compatibility
TCU tuning is highly vehicle-specific. We confirm the exact model, gearbox and software support before quoting or carrying out work.
Engine and gearbox packages
Where both ECU and TCU tuning are supported, we can discuss a combined package so the engine and transmission calibrations are suitable for one another.
